Team sports training advice

Getting in shape for team sports is best undertaken with your team mates. Having a common goal will help you motivate each other to train harder and achieve goals.

Strength

  • Endurance
  • Flexibility
  • Speed
  • Agility
  • It's important to analyse your individual sport to see what the demands are - for example, football requires endurance above everything, whereas for basketball, leg power is essential.

A good coach should be able to devise a program for you, or else it might be worth working with a personal trainer to help come up with an effective program.
