unit trusts
Unit trusts are collective investment schemes, where all payments made by you are pooled with payments made by other investors in order to buy units in a particular fund. The fund then buys shares in a variety of companies and each trust will identify investments that meet a certain criteria. Investing in unit trusts gives you a wider spread of investments than would normally be available than if you invested directly in stocks and shares as an individual.
There are so many different funds available to buy, with each having its own aim and specific need - growth or income. Selecting the right investment based on your needs and attitude to risk is important. Any fund you buy will need to reflect the type of investment you are looking for. Use the directory below to compare a number of providers and their returns, prior to you signing for a trust with one.
