Aerobics classes to lose weight

All over the world people practice aerobics in many different ways. This classic form of exercise comprises rhythmic cardiovascular exercise with stretching and strength training. Aerobics is most frequently practiced in a class with a qualified teacher, but it can be practiced alone in the privacy of your own home.

Aerobics classes are commonly streamed into beginner, intermediate and advanced with different routines, fitness goals and weight loss aims. Today, there are literally thousands of hybrid classes available, which is a testament to how effective aerobics is in helping you burn calories and fat, as well as receiving a cardio-boost for your heart and lungs.

Traditional classes involve being taken through a routine of rapid stepping patterns that increase heart rate and helps the body to use oxygen more efficiently. In fact, the very word means "with oxygen" so the aim of this exercise is to increase the supply of oxygen to the red blood cells by conditioning the heart and lungs.

Performed well and safely, this is an extremely healthy exercise with major health benefits including weight loss, muscle toning, and alongside a good diet is recommended as a major step to prevent coronary disease.

Nowadays there's a huge variety of classes available to the beginner, intermediate or athlete so it's easy to find exactly what you want to help you achieve all your fitness and weight loss goals.
