CV information & advice
Developing a good CV is crucial if you are to impress employers and stand out from the crowd of job hunters. Taking the time to get it right will be rewarded with more interviews and a higher success rate.
Curriculum Vitae is a Latin expression meaning 'life story', and your CV should therefore be a summary of your education, job history, and achievements.
A CV is sent to prospective employers in order to get them interested in you - it is essentially a selling document, selling you! This means that while you should always be honest when compiling your CV, this is not the place to be modest.
Take the time to think through everything you should include, broken down into separate sections. These typically include areas such as: - Personal Details
- Personal Profile
- Education
- Professional Experience
- Additional Skills and Interests
- Referees
